Corian®, Staron® and Surinno® are perfect for kitchen work tops and splash-backs.

On a practical level solid surface tops have a seamless finish, which means that dirt and grime can’t build up in joins.  They are also non-porous (smells and spills can’t penetrate) which means they remain completely hygienic and easy to clean.

But the real beauty of solid surfacing lies in its infinite design possibilities. If you can imagine it, you can create it. Counters can be curved and shaped to complement the flow of the room – and you can play with a range of colours and shades. It is a smooth, sleek and ultra-modern finish for your kitchen.

Techno Surfaces will help you create your dream kitchen – complete with quality, bespoke counters and work benches.

How to look after your kitchen counters:

Solid surface countertops, like Corian®, are inherently “renewable” because they are solid and homogeneous all the way through. Most damage, including severe impact, heat or chemical damage can usually be repaired on site – restoring your counter to its original, smooth, perfect state.

Saying that, it is important to take good care of your worktop and to follow a few simple guidelines:

  • Solid surface, although heat resistant, cannot handle extreme temperatures. Please do not place hot pots or pans directly on the surface, always use a pot holder.  Or include routed curves & stainless steel rivets in your counter – practical and a great design feature.
  • Never cut directly on your counter top – always use a cutting board to keep your surfaces in perfect condition.
  • Although liquids cannot penetrate solid surface – do wipe spills as they occur. A damp cloth with a standard kitchen cleaner (e.g. Mr Muscle) will usually do the job. For more stubborn stains, click here to refer to the more technical “Use & Care” guidelines.
